Dr. Kent "Kye" Higdon, MD, FACS, is our esteemed Plastic Surgeon and Owner of Higdon Plastic Surgery. With over 14 years of experience, Dr. Higdon is renowned for his exceptional cosmetic and breast surgery expertise. He is dedicated to providing personalized care and the most advanced techniques tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. Dr. Margaret "Maggie" Wetzel, MD

Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Margaret “Maggie” Wetzel is a highly trained plastic surgeon specializing in comprehensive facial, breast and body procedures. Known for her straightforward communication and individualized approach to patient care, Dr. Wetzel prioritizes safety, clarity, and natural-looking outcomes that align with each patient’s personal goals. 

Originally from Princeton, Kentucky, Dr. Wetzel dedicated over a decade to her medical education and training at the University of Kentucky. She earned her undergraduate and medical degree before completing an integrated residency program in plastic and reconstructive surgery at UK. 

Following her residency, Dr. Wetzel was accepted into a prestigious, Aesthetic Society-endorsed fellowship at Marietta Plastic Surgery in the Atlanta, Georgia area. During this year, she worked alongside top aesthetic surgeons to refine advanced decision-making and master fine adjustments across facial rejuvenation, breast surgery and body contouring. 

Dr. Wetzel believes that standard surgical outcomes are separated from superior ones through careful listening and precise, meticulous execution. During consultations, she takes time to thoroughly review realistic outcomes and ensure patients are fully informed about their treatment paths. 

Outside of the clinic and surgery, Dr. Wetzel enjoys discovering local restaurants, painting, spending time outdoors, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats and enjoying quality time with friends and family. 

Elizabeth Higdon, NP-C

Patient Coordinator

Elizabeth Higdon is a nurse practitioner in surgical and patient coordination at HPS. After graduating from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga with a BSN degree in Nursing, she worked in a Level I Trauma Center in the emergency department at Erlanger Hospital. Elizabeth then completed her advanced practice nursing degree from Southern Adventist University, graduating with honors from their Nurse Practitioner Graduate Program.

She enjoys working with patients to make their surgical process fun and stress-free. Born and raised here in Nashville, Elizabeth is proud to serve her local community in their aesthetic and cosmetic needs. When not involved in patient care, she spends time with her husband, Dr. Kye Higdon, raising their two wonderful daughters. She and her family are dedicated to their faith and enjoy travel, outdoor activities, and attending Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators games.

Hanna Myers, PA-C

Aesthetic Injector and Weight Loss Specialist

Hanna is a Louisiana native but spent most of her time growing up in the Pittsburgh area. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Penn State and completed her graduate degree at Slippery Rock University. She’s been a practicing PA for over 6 years, working in regenerative medicine, wellness and aesthetics. Her passion for aesthetic medicine continues to grow over time. She takes a wholistic approach and believes beauty starts from within. She is dedicated to naturally refreshed and restored results and a joyful, serene patient experience. Her favorite part about being a PA is establishing relationships with her patients, helping them look and feel their best. When she’s not seeing patients Hanna is spending time with her husband and two babies, usually cooking new recipes or chasing her toddlers around a playground. She is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Higdon Plastic Surgery team and can’t wait to meet you!

Kaitlyn Caldwell, RN, BSN

Aesthetic Nurse

Kaitlyn Caldwell is one of our Plastic Surgery Nurse specialists at Higdon Plastic Surgery. Originally from Michigan, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University before moving to Nashville to begin her nursing career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. After working alongside Dr. Higdon in the preoperative and postoperative setting, she discovered her passion for cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Inspired by her mother's breast cancer journey, Kaitlyn is especially passionate about supporting breast reconstruction patients with compassionate, personalized care.

At Higdon Plastic Surgery, Kaitlyn assists with consultations, all aspects of postoperative care, in-office procedures, and aesthetic treatments while helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their experience. Outside of work, she enjoys running, traveling with her husband, cheering on the Vols, and spending time with her son, Brooks, and their dog, Zoey.

Taylor Sieverson, RN, BSN

Clinic Nurse

Taylor Sieverson is one of our Clinic Nurses at Higdon Plastic Surgery. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She grew up in Middle Tennessee and loves it here. Taylor started her nursing career in primary care, and then worked as a circulator in the operating room, where she met Dr Higdon. While she enjoyed working in surgery, she missed the patient interaction she was getting in the office. Taylor is excited to be a part of helping people feel confident about themselves and their bodies.

Outside of work, Taylor loves to go to hot yoga and Pilates classes, try new restaurants, and cheer on the Volunteers and Titans. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, boyfriend, and her cats.

Ashley Dinkins, RN

Patient Coordinator

Ashley Dinkins, RN, graduated from Aquinas College in 2014 and has experience in medical-surgical nursing, the neonatal intensive care units and ambulatory surgery. She found her true passion in cosmetic and breast reconstructive surgery and now serves as the Clinic Nurse and Patient Coordinator at Higdon Plastic Surgery, where she enjoys guiding patients through every step of their surgical journey with compassion and personalized care. Outside of work, Ashley teaches Pure Barre and loves helping others feel strong, healthy, and confident. 

Jamie Rucker, LPN

Patient Coordinator

Jamie is our patient and surgery coordinator at HPS. Jamie graduated nursing school in 2008 and has 13 years of plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery experience. She has worked with Dr. Higdon since 2012 and is excited about continuing her passion at Higdon Plastic Surgery. She is highly dedicated to patient care and ensuring each patient has the best experience possible. She enjoys helping patients feel better about themselves and be their best. Jamie loves traveling, shopping, and spending time with her husband and two children. She cherishes her family and friends. She looks forward to getting to know you through your journey with Higdon Plastic Surgery.

Heather Mann

Patient Liaison

Heather is our Patient Liaison and one of the first friendly faces you'll meet at our practice. She helps patients feel at ease by answering questions, coordinating consultations, and providing support before and after procedures. Heather is passionate about helping patients feel confident, informed, and cared for throughout their entire experience.

Heather attended the University of Hawaii where she developed a strong foundation that led her into a variety of careers spanning hospitality and marketing. Her professional background reflects her passion for people, creativity, and building meaningful connections. Known for her fun and approachable personality, Heather brings both warmth and professionalism to everything she does. Outside of work, Heather has a love for fashion, reality/true crime television and she especially enjoys trying new restaurants and discovering great places to eat. Her favorite thing to do is spend quality time with her husband and daughter and she embraces life in the Nashville area after moving to the South - a place she now proudly calls home.

Cayla Barrette

Patient Liason

Cayla is one of our Patient Liaisons, and is passionate about creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient. With a natural love for connecting with people and a strong background in customer service, she enjoys helping patients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for throughout their experience with the practice.

Cayla earned her degree in Broadcast Journalism, which helped shape her strong communication skills and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her professional background spans retail, fitness, and wellness, giving her extensive experience in customer service and relationship building. Outside of work, Cayla loves spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys staying active, working out, and embracing all things health and wellness. Whether she’s spending time with her family, exercising, or enjoying life around Nashville, Cayla brings the same energy, warmth, and genuine love for people to everything she does.
